Ode to 2020

Ode to 2020

A strange year to be sure,
one that many of us wish we had not had to endure.

A p(l)andemic  from China did come,
infiltrating and disturbing each and every home.

The Dems (and RINOs) and Chi-Coms working hand-in-hand,
to steal the election and rob Trump of the legitimate presidency of  this land.

Closures, social-distancing, quarantining and sheltering-in-place,
medical "experts" contradicting facts about a mask's efficacy, when wore on the face.

Even with all this confusion and misinformation,
The Colonel and I were able to, once or twice, take a vacation.

The bleak, black year is now behind us,
its consequences now lay before us.

Let us pray God's mercy will on us pour upon,
as the year 2021 replaces the one that has finally gone.
